Life is full of adventure. Traveling is one such in the game. I took five days road trip from Chennai to courtallam through Coimbatore and Kerela. It doesn’t require much planning either packing.
“A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you’ve been taking.” – Earl Wilson
Day 1

We started from Chennai around 4 am through a car. We were fantasizing to see the gigantic Adhiyogi at Isha YogaCenter, Coimbatore. It is situated in the middle of the vast area of land surrounded by trees all over. I was mesmerized by the Adhiyogi Shiva statue. It is considered as the Largest Bust Sculpture in the world by Guinness World Record. The breeze was just blowing. My dress was dancing to the music of the wind. We spent an hour there. It was not enough, I can stare at Adhiyogi for a long time. He was fierce, at the same time the calmness in his face was mesmerizing. Later returned back to our room. The room was another highlight on our trip apart from the places we visited. We booked through OYO, we took a flat with two rooms since we were two couples. It was a small space designed very beautifully with the sunset view from the balcony. Room really matters at the end of the day you are gonna rest over there, you want it to be good, else when you are done with your touring you wanted to return back to your room you have that irky feeling crawling inside you.
Day2
It was a day for amusement. We visited black thunder near Coimbatore. Since we went on a weekday the amusement park was unoccupied. Few people were there. No pressure of standing the queue to reach the ride, we drove the same ride again and again. We were drenched completely and we relished hot food, chocolate sandwich, crispy wedges, masala Maggi and finished with ice cola with different flavors. We had an insanely great time over there.
Day3

We took off early from our room en route to Alleppey. We booked the boathouse earlier through online. 1′ o clock was our check-in. The view was scenic from the boat. The boat which we took comprises seven rooms, only three couples were there in total so we had a good time in the boat. We were provided with food by 1:30PM. Lunch was sumptuous. They provided meals with veggies, salads, and papad. We wear sailing through the backwaters, the breeze was rubbing my face. That moment, I realized the much-needed break.

Yes, everyone needs something out of their usual routine to perform the best in your routine. Those five days were my rejuvenating period, I was off from social media, office, and stress.
We well spent the night with laughter and giggles and shared a few serious talks and we purchased fish and prawns from the market where the ship halted. We asked the cook to serve us something in Kerela style.
The morning we were served with breakfast and the ship took off by 7 am and we were dropped at the same place where we boarded the ship and en route to courtallam.
Day4

Leaving Kerala, for lunch we halted at random Kerela hotel. We tasted the best parota. It was perfectly soft and the simple curry which was an absolute match. Having delicious food we left to courtallam reached there by sunset. Resting a while left to waterfalls close by 6 o clock. We visited old falls and five falls whereas there was no water in the main falls. The water was ice-cold goosebumps popping out. I never knew natural water has so much effect on your body. Once I was out of the water I could feel that my skin and hair felt quite soft. They say it is natural water crossing through herbal plants and it pours down has various medical benefits. We reached our room by 9 o clock and we had heavy dinner from courtallam border parota. There are various branches here in Chennai but the one in courtallam is the old and the original one which has its authentic taste. We had a very tight sleep and the next day morning we left back to Chennai. It was a memorable and wonderful trip to cherish.
